How much work can a substitute teacher get in one week?

I am looking to become a substitute teacher, at least for a while. I live in California. For those who live here too and may know something about it, how often can a substitute teacher get work in one week?

I work as a sub in Ohio, and even though there are an over abudence of teachers here it's still easy to pretty much get as many days as you want. When I was substituting in Missouri, I could pretty much work as much as I wanted (even 5 days a week) because the districts I worked for were so understaffed.

a week's worth. Unless you're limited to 100 days per school year or anything like that (Certification limits)
