how much does it cost to remodel a bathroom?

All I want to get done is to totally replace a shower (new walls (cement board), new tiles, new floor, new fixtures, new door), and re-do the tile work around the bathtub (new cement board). The job includes removal of the existing structures. The shower is about 4.5 x 3.5, the total tiles area is about 250 sqft. The first estimate I got is higher than what I expected. What's a ball-park dollar amount for this job?

Go to your local Home Depot and they should be able to help you get started and figure out how much the final cost will be. Shop sales and you will save... More

Remodeling a bathroom is expensive and the only way to find out what it will cost is to get several estimates. Replacing items isn't the only is what you replace it with. The price of shower structures vary widely as does flooring. Best answer, get more estimates... More
