can anyone who is a auto mechanic give a newbie advice?

i want to go to a technical school to get trained to be an auto mechanic... any advice or suggestions to a necommer with no experience yet?

I started off as a Car mechanic, then switched to Truck/Coach mechanic after a year and a half. I doubled my wage by switching and I will never look back. Don't get me wrong... School is the best basic training you can have but you must like this trade, it's not an easy trade anymore you have to keep up with technology and be willing to learn, my best advise will be if you want to be you can BE!!! just be good at it and not a yard mecanich be a mecanich and Technician at the same time, a real... you know if you are going to be a auto mechanic you work under a time limit. so i heard its hard to make money sometimes. if you can work under pressure and time limit go for it. if not and you want to be a mechanic try aircraft mechanic.
