What are the best methods for vocational training, particularly in a technical service field?

this is dealing with electrical engineering in an office and field setting. Of course, the appropriate college degree and basic experience to qualify for the technical position have been met. This question is in regards to the training or resources made available by an employer to a new hire.

You say electrical engineering. If it's truly engineering, a degree would be the way to go. Engineering is designing and esoteric things...what's the best material, how would you set this up, what would be load-balancing that would be required for all this equipment in one factory...this is not a thing you want to do... Tech service is vastly different than design, and obviously costs are a major issue. Since you did not define best.... eg best for the employee, best for the employer, best for the customer, best for the bottom line, its hard to say.
