What is the best way to sell a used car?

I have a Chevrolet Silverado truck from 1993 that I need to get sold relatively quickly. It's going to need some repair: paint job, engine work, new tires. Kelley Blue Book online values it at approximately 2000-2500 dollars, but I would be happy with 800-1000. Any ideas on the best way to go about this?

The best and cheapest way is to park it on the end of a street, a parking lot, or somewhere with lots of traffic, and post a huge sign in the window. I sold 2 cars like this in less than 2 weeks!

Maybe take it to a car auction but if you want good money for it i would sell it private, the car auctions ask more for it because they have to make money on top of what you want for it
