How to remove hard excess grout from between tiles?
I just bought a home that had some damaged tiles in the bathroom. They were replaced however the tile work was poorly done with grout excess that hardend and dried. How can I remove it from off of the tiles without damaging/replacing them?

You will need a grout saw,which you can get from any of the main diy shops.it is a very time consuming job about the same time as it would take to tile and grout the same sort of area but good luck.. my fiancee is a tiler with 30 yrs experience ..i just asked him ..

You can chip or use a dental pick to work the grout out and then regrout, also I have used a dremel tool,sorta a drill with small bits to dig out grout but you have to have a steady hand! Its a long and tiresome task but it will look better!

If it's ceramic tile you should be able to do it with some course steel wool. That should remove the excess grout and won't harm ceramic tile.
