What are good jobs for physicists in the United States Navy or Air Force?

I heard some get jobs at the NUWC in RI, but I want an officer rank not a civillian Job.

look at marine engineering... thats a popular one... also look into aviation technology... there are many options especially seeing as how in the ROTCs they stress the physical sciences a LOT... good luck with finding what you want to do... there are many options for you.

Well, it depends on what your specialty is. You can check with your local recruiters, and the service websites have a lot of info as well.

Did you already go to school? If you have not yet look into the Nuclear Officer program through the Navy. It will give you $120,000 to go to school if you join the nuke program after you graduate. If you already went to school I would still look at being a Navy Nuclear Officer, you get all the expeirence you need... More

to get an officer rank, you will need to enlist in active duty status and have a college degree. if not, then you will never be an officer. you will be a Non -Commissioned Officer without the degree going in, but you can earn degress through the military.
