How do those check-and-go places work?

The places where they give you a cash advance on your paycheck etc. I just started a new job to pay for my summer classes but won't have a paycheck til after the classes starts. I do own my car that has a kelley blue book value of $2000 or so.

You have to have a bank account. You write them a check, they'll hold it for usually 2 weeks before cashing. So before that 2 weeks is up, you have to have the cash in the bank so they can cash the check. And I don't know about the ones where you live, but the ones around here, you borrow 200, you pay 206 back.
