I am almost afraid to ask?

We all know how to slow immigration (legal and Illegal) traffic and how to say no to practices that drain our system.
.
But if we were to turn it around--how could we save our schools, medical, and benefits if we allowed more in?
Those paying taxes will not be enough ever-as most will still have income problems and need benefits. White collar jobs just don't fall in everyones lap. Many will still be low income. So what would help to change that--if anything???? To keep us from going way down and not hurting others terribly. And we are in trouble now--enough states had to borrow already. That can't go on forever.
Any thoughts? I don't know is an Ok answer too.

I can only think of Nation Health-but that is just a small part and wouldn't cover everything. and it would be costly.

The reason that I am against illegal immigration and in favor of only limited immigration is because I think that is needed to protect those services.

I think a TRUE guest worker plan, like a spring through harvest agricultural worker plan could literally be given only to adults on a temporary visa, and an employer wouldn't get more visas to replace one where a worker 'disappeared' into the interior. Then if they were to bring family, we could say the employer had to provide health care and education. The steel companies long ago built schools, and agribusiness can do that too. It wouldn't work well in other industries.

And I don't mean that as a segregation thing, I mean they would build a school and children residing closest, whether their employee's kids or not, would go there. The problem with an 'impact fee' such as large housing developers have to pay school districts in California, is that money doesn't teach kids. There is an interim period of years when the buildings have to be sited and built and the teachers have to be hired when the schools would be more overcrowded than they are.

It is the only idea I have, though.

That's a really good point. Our system is having a hard time with those of us already here. I wish I knew.

Since most of the illegals and many of the legals are of a criminal character, why should we pay? I'm deadly serious about this. 2?f the population are illegal, yet 35?f the prison population are illegals. And you only go to prison if you are an extremely violent offender. What implication does this have for how we deal with illegals?

Illegals are most definitely not nice people fleeing Mexico in search of a better life. They are evil people who come here because this is where victims with money can be found.

Think about it.

I don't think there is an answer. The disable and Elderly will be put out for good. And Families will have trouble. Crime will rise-it happens.
No I don't see a way at all.

fox-you are right-it is a crime-that should be basic for all. We are one of 3 (or was it 5)countries who don't have it yet.

Aliana-not all but many have put a strain on an already tight program--those are facts-check the web you will see what is spent. The question is a good one. Instead of denying it-face it. Do you have a solution or just a gripe about the issue?

And Dar a long time ago I worked for a Playboy Club that did do that. Housing, food, medical and small pay-they took out for things. They had an airport on property. To some extent it did work. We didn't have the problems of today-but maybe on that line.

I am for any type of health care initiative that allows Americans better health care. America is an industrialized nation, so I don't know why we can't have health care for all the citizens. With so many adults, not to mention, children getting of all things, Diabetes, I wonder why we can't have better health care for everyone. I think we should still get private insurance for those of us that can afford it, but those that work paycheck to paycheck need some kind of insurance that can provide basic health care screening. This was a great question you asked. I can only express my concern on the lack of our industrialized nations lack of health care for the people. I think we can cut billions somewhere to provide health care to Americans.

If EVERYONE worked honestly and paid there taxes including
immigrants and people would stop cheating insurance companies, social service,IRS, and really do the right the thing (which will never ever happen) things would really change economically. That's all the input I have

If the illegal's were gone some one unemployed here would get the job and pay the taxes. most of teh illegal's werent paying taxes any way. every one in this country has a right to work if they are legal. but if they are not they are robbing us in too many ways to mention. I dont see where you are going with the health care thing .

And you guys complain that we Hispanic are living off the government. Guess what I am a republican, And feel if you want to benefit from good health care I recommend you guys go to school, which if you are living pay check to pay check you qualify for either financial aid and/or student loan. I'm tired of people complain on how there is no money for them or how they need food stamp, the world is tough deal with it, now what about our veterans have you consider them, I think they are the only people entitled to federal assistant, not a load of lazy blue collar people that rather than get educated had kids at 17 and criticize people of not being from here, first of all the drainage of this country is not from illegals, but from citizens living off the system all their life, you guys expect things handed to you, you need to work and if you guys don't want to work and get assistance for the rest of your life and then when you hit 65 and only get $500 a month and complain about illegal taking all of your funds, ask your self: Did i work long enough receive a larger amount of money. I think you guys need to live in a socialist world, you don't work, you get medical attention, oh yeah you don't have freedom of speach...Bunch of commies....stop asking for hand out......

At my company we advertised for some jobs and got hundreds of workers that applied for the jobs but instead of hiring a regular American they hired someone that was brought over on a special VISA form overseas. I heard there was many qualified applicants but they wanted to pay less so they claimed there was no qualified Americans so they could get a low paid foreigner. I think in today's economy there should be a stop of all immigration. Jobs should be for Americans in today's tough economy! Agree?

So today I went in for an interview and I was going in for the 2nd interview by the head chief executive. now this is where it got weird, so she asked me about my previous jobs and said how much she liked that product over that product. then she started talking about her daughter? an her divorce ...then how she didn't finish college because she was making more money doing what she did for this company ... then she talked about how her teenage daughter is a handful... I just played it cool thinking she was using some sort of psychology thing to trick me into saying something stupid. the interview ended and she seemed happy an I was escorted to the door... now I'm freaking confused? is this normal behavior for an executive? like it felt like she was going to burst into tears at one point and tell me her life problems... is this normal? was she trying to see how I react or something?

Basically- no degree, although I have tried completing one in the past and stopped because of physical and mental health issues which were overwhelming to deal with along with going to classes full time. I'm not stupid and I am quite articulate. I am 23 and have only worked for about two years retail in high school and stopped working to go to university. I worked a few months in 2010 retail after I dropped out but it was only a seasonal position, and the only reason why I have not been able to constantly work is because of mental health issues. I had also tried going back to community college during my free time since i left university in 2008/9 and I had panic attacks while in community college, which made my anxiety worse from then on. Well recently I met a good doctor and he prescribed me some meds that are stabilizing my moods and I feel the best I've felt in years, and I'm ready to work. Thing is, I don't know how to get a job now since I've spent literally years being depressed and anxious doing nothing. I don't really have anything to put on my resume, and I never finished my AA degree either. All I've done is cashiering and although I do the job well and I get promoted easily when I do these jobs because I'm a hard worker and I try to go above and beyond what they ask of me,which is the attitude I have no matter what kind of work I'm doing as long as I'm getting paid. But I hate cashiering because it's too easy and I want a job that is more interesting. Any suggestions for me on how to get a job that is NOT Retail with the type of background I have right now? I also realize I have to go to college to get certain types of jobs, I am talking about what I can do right here right now.

Recently I have overlooked for a project at work and I am unable to accept it why? I am hard working, dedicated, maintain a very professional decorum, very cordial with my colleagues and bosses, give respect to one and all. Still people who take the p***, argue with managers, gossip mongers have been selected for some very responsible positions at work. I seriously can't get my head around it why, why unprofessional people who have no work ethics being selected over me, whereas I have a track record of excellent performance and never shy away from any work my manager ask me to do? I am at my lowest point and not getting hold of my manager to ask the question why not me, why them who can't even bother? I am feeling like a complete loser, giving years to this place, building my performance, trust and this is how I get rewarded. Why my life is so shit, anything I wish for turns to dust?

So I have a nice white button up shirt, business skirt and pants, and a suit jacket. I'm applying for a software development job and I'm very short and can look young so I'm trying to look adult, yet professional. I'm also attractive so I'm trying not to look too sexy. For the career fair I'm thinking of wearing just my nice shirt and a skirt with low heels. My reasoning being it's approachable and attractive without going overboard since the career fair hosts are mostly younger male recent grads. I want to be remembered but not intimidating. For my interviews I was thinking pants, suit jacket (power suit). My reasoning being it'll be older execs and HR people (mostly women) so less sexy with the pants but more powerful with the suit jacket. What do you think?!

Our commitment to training and development encourages our people to grow their futures with us. If successful in joining our team, how will you become an expert at what you do? and At Debenhams, our people make all the difference to our customers. If you were a Stock Movement Adviser with us, how would our customers know that you are focused on their individual shopping experience? I am in the process of planning my own wedding and I am having a fantastic time doing so. I have always enjoyed planning things: group vacations for my friends and I, road trips, etc... I could be described as a slight control freak and I am a perfectionist. I know I would exceed, and enjoy my career, if I were to make this a possibility. How do I do it? How do I get my name out there? How much do event planners charge for their services? I have a lot of questions, and hope that people who are self employed would be able to give me some pointers on getting my business up and running. Thank You in advance for your time and help.
