I am asking for a raise any advise?

I am a nanny and have been working for the family for over 1 1/2 i am really nervous about asking for a raise but i know i deserve one any advise on how to make it a more comfortable situation? i have never had to ask before at any other job. over 1 1/2 years

When you first approach them for a raise, be sure to state how long you've been working, your quality of work, and that you feel you deserve a raise. If you truly feel like you've done outstanding work for these people, be confident about it, and have a number in mind. You're worth it!
