what type of shots do you need for a modeling portfolio?

I'm thinking about sending some pics to diferent agencies but I need to know what shots i need.

The best photos are ones taken on plainish backgrounds like curtains, hay bails, walls, the sky. These are best head shots are good as well. these can all be taken with a resonable digital camera , no need for profetional stuff and can be taken by a friend. heres some more info on modeling... More

head shot with out make up, i think non-professional... most agencies want polaroids not professional shots

Modeling agencies look for people that show emotion in their pictures and have something that sets them apart from other models.

head shots, thats a normal portrait, front and side. then you need one in casual clothes. like jeans, then one in formal clothes, and one in a one piece bathing suit. nothing overtly sexy, just normal stances like a catalog would have.

You need to go to a professional photographer who can advice you, and then put together a professional portfolio and make the rounds. Just mailing out your portfolio is not enough. well i have been wanting tomodel for a while and as my daddy says u shouldnt actually have to use money for modeling shots. or use money to send ur shots in, places like that r just a waste of tme
