Do McDonalds workers have a Union?

As a Mcdonalds worker i am sick and tired of my labour being abused purley because they won't put enough people down for shifts. For example i have to regularly work a 8 hour shift without breaks! I have tried looking for another job, but in the likely case i don't get another what can i do in the mean time?

Yes you should have a union if you are in the Uk then it is law that you break every 4 hours for at least 10 mins.

No they dont have a union as because all the outlets are operated by different franchisee

Unfortunately McDonald's are completely un-unionised and it is unlikely that in the future they will recognise a union. However there is nothing to stop you from joining a union individually and asking them to represent you with your grievance against your employer... More

if you are in the uk?look tgwu,nothing stops you belonging to a union,if mcd dont have an agreement with the unions,but it still doesnt allow them to flaut the law,h&sw at work would help,contact them throught the local council,you can also get help from your local all the help is there but it is a long grind... Most of the employees in Mcdonalds are students and teenagers. Likewise,I have not seen any strike launched against Mcdonalds. Go back to school and educate yourself. in the "meantime" you'll just have to suck it up because it's the best job you have. $8.25 or whatever beats zero.
