Looking for entry level job in disaster planning?

any tips for finding an entry level job in disaster planning. When i look on monster or hotjobs they never allow you to filter the results by experience. And when i do the searches they always come back with manager or director level jobs, i know im not qualified for those but how do i find jobs i am qualified for.

Disaster Planning is typically a small part of another, senior position. You may be able to find something within the fire or police department, but I doubt that they will be entry level. Try looking at small consulting firms. That way, you will build up your resume with experience.

talk to somebody at your local fire department. THey may have Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams (sometimes given other names such as Disaster Area Response Teams) that you could work with.
