would i find a job with an associate in child development, and what type?

I am in junior college right now trying to get and associate degree in applied science.With child development as my major. i am begining to feel discouraged because don't know if i would be able to get a job in an adminstrative setting in that field.

Experience is going to be your key. Get your foot in the door and work your way up the ladder. I started as a "floater" in a daycare and worked my way up to lead teacher. It would probably hard to get a job in an administrative field with an ECE degree if you do not have any admin. experience. There is a demand for head teachers in the childcare field, In order to become an administrator you may have to work in the classroom at a child care center for at least two years. Most of the time there are job openings for Administrators.

Depends on your state... in CA where I live, you can administer in a child care center with an A.S. if it is a privately owned center (like in a church).
