Is it hard to be an archeologist?

When I was younger I always wanted to become an archeologist and dig out artifacts of vases and other neat stuff. Is it a very hard job for anyone like me?

if you can deal with the politics! still then it's a rough job with way too much b.s. and less actual doing the job of an archeologist. it's a shame.

It is extremely hard, but if it is what you want to do, go for it. But it will take a lot of years of study and then an internship. It is also very difficult to make a living unless you get famous somehow.

Yes, it's hard - just as hard as it is to be a physicist or a molecular biologist or a professor of English literature. What you need is, just get out of the mind-set of "hardness" and follow your inner and true propensities.
