I got my degree in 4 years + 1 extra quarter. It takes about that long to get all of the basics and fundamentals. You are then hireable by most software development firms. West coast colleges are better since they are closer to where most firms are hiring.

many Tech schools can get a degree in Computer engineering for a fraction of the time and cost most its 18 months compared to a 4 year degree its also cheaper

in my country its 5 years. 2 sem per year some schools here are 4 sem per year so it will just take 2 years but i do not recommend that coz you wont learn that much if you rush your studies

It depends on whether you are seeking a Bach, Masters or PHd All require completion of HS 12 years plus Min 4 years for Bachelors Plus Min 2 years for Masters Plus Min 2 years for Phd
