how do I dress this up on a resume?

My mom was a house wife her whole life and Iam trying to help her with her resume. I need help on dressing this part up and making it sound nice Title: Assembly Line Worker Duties: Worked on an assembly Line building computers and other products sent down the line as directed by line supervisor. Reason for leaving: Temporary job. Contract ended.

Assembly TECHNICIAN .....Held responsiblities integral in the building of computer technology for mass production. .......Contract was on a term basis and has since expired. Good luck to your mom.

Simply you can decribe the duties of line worker in details and the products. I think you dont need to give the reason for leaving the previous job, its may be discussed in interview if somebody asked bout it then she can tell them.

Take out everything after "products". Add "Complied with all necessary requirements of the job description", and "Assisted others with installation of equipments", That shows what a team-player your mama was.:P

It appears your mom is looking for a job. I think you have some good answers already for a resume but I wanted to direct her to apply for home health provider since she was a house wife. What these people do is they work with the elderly who live alone. They cook, clean, wash their clothes and sometimes help them bathe... More

You might add a few things to dress up her abilities such as: Proven ability in manufacturing. Highly motivated and talented, expert in assembly, production line, material handling. By nature a self motivated, creative thinker, etc. Focus on her talents and abilities and special things that set her apart from the rest... More

was "Assembly Line Worker" an official title. it's pretty common for those on the assembly lines to have no official title. if this is the case, you can always say something like "Assembly Engineer" or "Primary Process Specialist... More

The best thing to do in a resume is tell the truth. I see nothing wrong. You may also be able to add that she was a full time mom while working. If not added in the resume, be sure she makes it clear in the interview. That shows that she is a hard worker and a achiever... More
