How can I change the registration name on Microsoft Office 2003?

the company I worked for was sold and we all lost our jobs. They sold off a lot of the equipment and I bought one of the newer computers. Now I want to change the software registration from the company to me.

you would need to reinstall to change it. It shouldnt have any effect on your work honestly.

Open Word, click on "Tools", then the "User Information" Tab. Now change your name. Btw, it is a violation of the Microsoft EULA to transfer Windows or Office to another person - you must buy another copy according to their EULA and reinstall...just FYI.

Actually there is a way to do it without reinstalling Office but it requires modifying the regsitry. I would not reccomend trying it if you are not comfortable with that. The data is listed in... More
