Starr expresses contrition for Marty having been gang-raped at the instigation of her father Todd back in college. However! Starr has a bone to pick with Marty for suddenly turning up as Spencer’s #1 defender. Spencer hits a nerve with Todd by bragging about infanticide. Organically incensed, Todd goes for Spencer’s jugular. Around this time, Blair shows up, one thing leads to another, and Spencer ends up taking her with him off the roof. Todd walks over Spencer’s fallen body and rushes Blair to the ER, worried sick. Blair comes to long enough to bless him with news of their pregnancy. Todd gapes at Blair, shortly before she disappears into the OR. Marty takes Starr and Cole to be with Todd at the hospital. Michael does his doctorly best to keep Blair on this earth. Bo is the one who has Spencer rushed to ER. Bo puts Todd under severe interrogation for kidnapping Spencer. Todd and Starr are joined by Dorian in the hospital waiting room, on pins and needles about Blair’s surgical outcome. Todd takes Starr (or the other way around) to the hospital chapel to have a word with God about saving Blair. Adriana and Rex rush in, making sure Starr is taken care of during the wait. Blair loses her and Todd’s baby. Blair comes out of surgery okay but despite the doctor’s best efforts, her and Todd’s unborn baby suffers. Cole stands by Starr in every way during her interminable wait for her mother’s recovery. It’s Spencer’s turn, but Marty questions the conflict of interest inherent in Michael taking over surgical duties. Michael does his job, Spencer’s fine. Bo drags Todd to the police department for a formal interrogation. Paige taunts Spencer with the knowledge that Blair was carrying Todd’s baby. Michael upends Todd’s world about the sad fate of the child he and Blair will never see grow up. Cole aches to comfort Starr. Clint and Bo draw battle lines, defending their clan turf before interloper Spencer. Bo and Paige tag-team on Spencer. Todd engages in a bitter dispute with Marty. Rex delivers upsetting news to Adriana about Dorian’s intent to put money into her and Layla’s fledgling lingerie company. Layla doesn’t see anything untoward about Dorian’s kindness, just a gesture of truce. Adriana flies off the handle about Dorian’s latest move, full of paranoia. Adriana lets Dorian have it. Viki calms and counsels Adriana down off the hysteria cliff. Adriana relents a little with Dorian, and drops a holiday greeting. Clint takes the mistletoe hint, and busses Viki. Watching Nash with Layla threatens Jessica. Jessica puts Nash on the spot, peppering him with inquiries into what he thinks about Layla, if he’s into her. Nash thinks enough of Jessica to present her with a Christmas package. She’s not sure what to make of this. Jessica celebrates by toasting Christmas with some guys who mean a lot to her. Michael, Marcie and Tommy get to sneak in a little festive cheer, giving each other and John and Natalie presents. Natalie makes a mountain out of a molehill with John’s present to her. Cristian and Evangeline find out that a house of Vincent’s was torched, taking the life of a person residing there. Vincent pinpoints evidence to back up his arson theory. Authorities deem the house fire arson and Ted’s death a murder. Vincent alludes to John that Natalie and some guy he knows from back in the day are affiliated. Lindsay does not make Cristian’s day at all. When one door closes, another opens. Cristian sees this when a teenager comes to him, like a follower to Jesus, because of his boxing prowess. The encounter with the young boxing fan fills Cristian up with ideas to give back to the community, the poorer community. Cristian rounds up Evangeline and Marcie to be a benefactor to those kids. Nora busts Evangeline’s chops on her and Cristian, grinning ear to ear. Cristian and Evangeline love where they’re at now, they are not putting any expectations or pressures on where their relationship should go. Next week: No Christmas show… Marty begins to entertain thoughts of skepticism regarding Spencer’s innocence… Dorian and Viki gear up to win the hand of Clint.
