In 20 years, who is gonna be the HR champion?
I did some fun quick math. ARod at/ near his career pace should have over 840 homers. Will he be the one to unseat Bonds (eventual champ) someday? It sure seems like it, but projecting is very unreliable, what is your hunch? Howard (could hit 830+ at his insane pace) Pujols (projects to close to 900!) Health can mess all this up, cause if you fill in Griffey's lost stats, he already has over 700 having just turned 37.

Albert Pujols will be the HR king. A-Rod will achieve the record, but AP will top it a few years later. Pujols is a team player, but he also knows how to win a game if his teammates cant get the job done. He is avg 40+ HR every season, so there is a great chance of exceeding 900 HR for his career. He is also playin... More

Well in the way that Alex Rodriguez is going can easily make it pass Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds. A-Rod has been kind of healthy for the pass years so he has the best shot to be the homerun champion

Somebody who is 7 or 8 years old now.

if they all stay healthy I'd pick Pujols, Arods homers have declined and Howard hasn't proved he can keep up that pace yet.

My guess would be A-Rod

My guess would be A-rod will break it then Pujols will break it, depending on if they stay healthy. You forget Pujols is younger then Howard and is already up on him by over 150. So my guess for 20 years would be Pujols.

Pujols may get there, but he's not just a home run hitter, he also has great defense and isn't afraid to bunt if necessary. He also steals bases occasionally. His hamstring has been sore, but I'm not sure if it's permanent. He may break the record... More

Here's something you have to throw into your calculations, homeruns usually drop off as you get older, in his last few seasons Henry "Hank" Aaron was only hitting 20-30 homeruns. Barry is hitting more as he gets older, which is either absolutely amazing or absolutely unnatural. In any case though it will take an... More

A-Rod has a good chance of surpassing the 800 HR mark. Also Andruw Jones has been racking up numbers in such a way that if he's healthy he could hit over 700 HR. No one seems to notice that. Ryan Howard? It's too soon to even start guessing... More
