I'm a small town girl, REALLY love acting/ singing, what to do?

I never quiet knew what I wanted to be, I have always known that I can sing and that I'm outgoing. A couple of years back, I discovered that I really love acting and I'm good at it too. I live near Wilmington, nc (a couple of movie and television shows filmed there. Anybody ever here of Dawson's creek, a walk to remember. I live even closer to Southport, NC some Dawson's Creek episodes were filmed there and I know what you did last summer was also filmed there) I really want to pursue acting but there is a little voice in my head saying I wouldn't have a chance. What do I do?

Learn how to waitress until you get a gig. Look for "extras" castings. It helps build resume's, and you may get discovered there. A friend did that, and was on screen as a barrista handing Carrie her coffee on "Sex and the City."

Hey! I'm pursuing acting myself so I understand how hard it can be to get your footing and really get going. I know your first instinct is to "hit L.A and start auditioning" but let me tell you thats a BAD idea. If you only knew how many other people are trying to make it out there. Chances are you wont just get... More

Well first off have u had any acting experiences? if u havent then if I were you I would join a local theatre in your community maybe even join the drama club at your school. For singing join your school choir, get voice leasons, or join your church choir. But remember it isn't so glamourous 24/7 in Hollywood. You must... More
