Have you ever been unemployed for more than a year?

I am now going on 14 months without a job and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and how do you cope? Financially I'm okay, but I must confess that I'm getting bummed-out about the lack of prospects!

Been there, done that, nearly lost my mind. First off, relax. You're not going to make any headway if you're freaked out. Put out resumes, check online jobsites, pull out that Classified section and make a few marks. If you don't hear from someone, you don't. Just keep your cool.

When I was in my late teens I quit my job and didn't work for awhile... but that was a long time ago.

I have before..Its very dishearting because its in the blood of some people to be productiive and busy all the time. Try training for something new

submit your resume to leading jobsite like www.monster.com, www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area.
