How do I get an entry level office job?

i am an 18 year old MALE (19 soon) june 2006 HS grad, will be attending community college starting this summer have had a variety of jobs answering phones at an Italian restaraunt (taking orders, seating people) worked at a Loew's Cineplex doing concessions, also has worked warehouse for Home Depot and Carson's. was with Home Depot til about a week ago (got tired of working graveyard) i very much would like to get into office work how can a young guy get into office work? i called some temp agencies but they wanted to know my experience i really have no office skills YET but i can type some, of course know how to use a PC, the internet and Word, i am very bright and learn quickly, where do I start looking every place I called wanted experience

Search local papers, internet sites like Career Builder, Monster, Hot Jobs, etc, ask around. Be prepared to send out a TON of resumes. There are a lot of people trying to get these same jobs so it's a numbers game after a while. Don't not apply to something because you don't think you're qualified. You never know when... More

You're going to have to get skills first. Or find out if you can get one through a friend who can vouch for your work ethic and all that.

Apart from major job websites like Monster, Hotjobs, Careerbuilder and Craigslist where you could apply for jobs and post your resume online,you could also search for jobs using aggregators like Simply Hired and Indeed. Check this out for more information
