A cop died during a fight between fans in an advanced game between Catania and Palermo so out of respect all week end games have been canceled.

It was due to an officer being killed at the Catania-Palermo match. The second death in a week. Another is fighting for their life. Here is a link to an article that explains.

First off, Palermo finally won! They're still number three in Serie A with 42 points. Football rivalries can be deadly. Fans can become disgruntled and violent.
