What ink jet colour printer would do the job at a bargain price?

Now I am involved in digital photography ameture level and wish to be professional soon as possible. Can you recommend a good entry level photo quality ink jet printer? I would prefer that it can print up to A3 size and no more than a couple of years old.

Go with Canon or Epson. They give the best image quality. The Canon ip5000 is cheap but gives an excellent image. The resolution is so fine, you actually need a magnifying glass to see the dots and most people cant tell the difference between an image from this printer and a realy photograph.
