Is it possible to paint over tiles in a bathroom or kitchen?

I've never try to do it before and as a interior decorator, I really have this question in mind to help me for future projects. If it is possible let me know the kind of paint you can use and if the paint can stay long. Thanks!

It's possible but most unattractive.

Not the best idea, but if you go ahead with it, you must sand the glaze off the tiles so the paint will stick. I would advise against it.

You can buy tile paint but it still looks crap and is generally very expensive. You can tile over tiles it works but its just lazy basically

I wouldn't advise it. Paint might hold up for awhile, but will soon start peeling.
