I am wanting to become an Administrative assistant what classes do I need to take?
What programs will benifit me in trying to obtain an Administrative assistant job. Are there college courses that I would benifit from? Does a person need a degree to get to be an Administrative assistant? Please point me in the right direction. Thank you

I done a traineeship. It is where you work doing business admin and study to get your certificate at the same time. The business pays for it all, it's the way to go. I'm in australia though. You have to complete Certificate 3 in business administration.

AA is simply a receptionist. This is the kind of job that only requires a HS diploma. If you are going to take a course, take something that teaches more than just answering telephones and filing.

You will need to take an Executive Secretarial course at your local community college. You'll be good to go. Duration is approximately 6-9 months. Email me if you have any further questions...I graduated with a 98% average and loved every minute of it. I got pretty sh*tty grades in highschool!
