What kind of jobs are good if you love animals?

I really love animals, especially dogs and really want to work with them as a career. I have thought about an animal trainer but I want to explore my options. I don't really want to be a vet because I don't like to see severely hurt animals. Also, what are good things to study for jobs like this?

You could try being a kennel keeper, groomer, trainer, breeder. Classes you might want to take are biology, cosmotology (for the groomer) and just try your luck with the others. Hope that helps. Also if you aren't too sure of what to do you can always look it up online.

If you do not like to see animals that are sick and/or hurt, I wouldn't recommend a Veterinarian or Veterinary Technicians job. I would say either a Dog Groomer or Kennel Position. Good Luck in your search.

If you are in highschool I would take biology and anatomy. Although this anatomy will mostly be human, it will give you an idea on how certain organs systems work. If you want a part time job at the moment... try to find one at a local petco or ask local vets if they are in need of a receptionist or an assistant. Even... More
