What is the most I should pay for someone to do a motor swap on my car?

It is a 95 Eagle Talon with a blown motor. I want to put a new 4g63 in it but I don't know what the going rate for the work to be done.

You're probably looking at 5-7 hours labor, so multiply that by the hourly rate, say $80 per hour, and you get $400-$560 for the job. Check your local mechanics for their estimates.

400-600, depending on the degree of difficulty would be a real good estimate. i would use this as a side job, so my price would be right in that range. it would be closer to 1000-1200 for doing it at most shops.
