Should America build nuclear power plants for the rest of the world?

I belive this could both help with global warming, and give America a new job base for its people. This way we would be in control of the uranium, and we would know it would be a safe structure. We could start schools to train people how to run these powerplants, and go to work in other countries. Plus people who worked at these plants would be making American money, and could live like kings in these other counties, lol. This would also help other counties get off their dependancies to burn fossil fuels as there source of electricity.

Yes, for all the reasons you give. There would need to be safeguards to insure that used fuel rods are not unauthorizedly reprocessed to extract plutonium, but that is the only hitch I can think of.

No. Let them build their own if they want. Leave US out of it.

One of the ironies of the global warming controversy is that the people who believe it most strongly are also those who prevent the construction of nuclear power plants. Nuclear power plants emit no greenhouse gases. The CANDU design is very safe to operate.
