How can a general contractor(builder) get on an architect's or designer's list of preferred suppliers?

usually, architects and designers give leads (jobs) to some contractors that they work with on a regular basis. how can one make the connection with them? how to advertise to them?

Best bet is to look at project listings in the Dodge report. The Dodge report lists various building projects coming up and sometimes include material specs depending on the work being done. The report usually includes the name(s) of the architect(s) who designed the project including their phone number or email.
