How can I find a job in Dallas, Tx?

I'll be 20 in September, I've been looking for a job for about a year now. I've applied to dozens of online applications and have never heard back. Some time I think when they see "African American" on my application they immediately trash it. I have 2 years experience in retails and electronics. I worked as a temp at Gamestop. The only way how I'm at least living day by day is with my college grant and that's about to run out until next year. Summer's right around the corner and I'm getting more worried when there will be so many kids applying for jobs I'll possibly not be hired. Can anyone help me?
