What is a good reason to want a job, other than just the money?

I'm trying to fill out a job application for a library clerk position, and i want to work there for the summer because I like that type of job, and I need the money for school next fall. And I can not say 'for the money'. Any suggestions, of want I may say on paper.

i have never had a job a day in my life and im 22 years old and i just recently got one and i love it,im not bored doing nothing all day and i have more energy now then before and im happy now also.

Your first reason is the best one--you like that type of job. Figure out why you believe that, make sure it is a realistic expectation of the job, and then elaborate on that reason.
