How can you find headhunters?
I found my current IT job through a headhunter 7 years ago. Now that I need to find a new job, I can't find any headhunters/recruiters, just consulting firms. They don't seem to advertise, is it that they have to find you? Resume is on the job boards and still no contacts except from consulting places. Any ideas on how to find headhunters/recruiters (IT especially)? P.S. The headhunter that got me my current job told me "sorry we only place IT workers who do SAP or PeopleSoft now" which of course I don't do. Seems like IT work has all gone SAP, Java and PeopleSoft.
