Who has primary responsibility to defend the security of the US?
Isn't it the people of the United States? Since an armed civilian population is a less attractive target for any invader, doesn't gun control weaken the defense of the United States? If you were an aggressor planning to invade the USA, would you want the American people to possess a weapon in every house, as the Swiss do? Or would you prefer a subjugated people who rely on obedience to powerful government, with armed forces taking orders from the top down, so that all the aggressor has to do is to get surrender by the government while the civilians are conditioned to pray and obey and are disarmed? Isn't the armed civilian population, trained in the use of arms, fully independent of government control, the best defense of freedom from threats whether from outside or inside?

I agree , that to me is the best souNDing definition of the 2nd amendment, good job, but as you know, the people that would see us subdued are the same people fighting to have our guns taken away from us, in Chicago you cannot own a weapon, or be caught with one there, but mayor Daley has one, why does he get to carry?
