Can a NICEIC qualified electrician work on a commercial installation in Paris?

I have been asked to quote for a job in France identical to some I done in England. However I am not sure what the differences are between french and english installations if any and whether it has to be signed off by a spark with french qualifications as a similar one in Ireland has to be.

I know an electrician who is industrial trained & he by law cannot work on residential works & I gather the same is the other way round. I would ask NIC EIC explaining the exact works & see what they say. If anything if your NIC EIC it would probably only mean a wks course or something anyway.

I don't know the answer myself, but it sounds a bit dodgy. Maybe, you could make enquiries with the French embassy. If they cannot answer they should be able to guide you to the right direction. Don't risk your qualification. Be careful.
