How to become a police officer?

Hey, people. I am an international. I go to college right now. I want to become a police officer, but I won't stay here I am sure I shall go back to my home country. If you know what I have to do to become a police officer. By the way I live in Alabama. Thank you for your help. Yeah by the way, I checked online for academies in my state and it just keeps showing me universities, mostly online courses. I thought to become a police officer I have to go to academy not just some university, or maybe these universities are actually academies. I am kid of confused please help.

in my state you get hired then that city or county sends you to the academy. us citizen,drivers license, no felonies. go on line pick a city or county their website will tell you the requirements.
