Hi Has anyone living in or has lived in Texas Conroe?

I plan to move to Conroe Texas,can someone tell me how is it out there?I work as a nurse now ,how are the jobs out there? Weather ,people?, Thanks

1. Conroe is about 30 minutes just North of Houston. If your a nurse and working at the Hospital you will either be at the (huge)County Hospital in Conroe thats I-45 and the first loop 336 exit (go left under the freeway) Hospital entrance up on the right about 1/10th mile. Well Conroe is about 45 minutes north of Downtown Houston, there really arent any high paying jobs out there, but since you're a nurse you could try getting a job at the hospital. There are tons of nursing jobs in the area. I live about 15 min south in Spring and know 5 nurses in my neighborhood (all of whom were recruited from out of state/overseas). You may want to move further south (Spring, Humble, Noth Houston) to be closer to the jobs as traffic from Conroe is murder.

I live in Willis which is just a few miles north of Conroe. You don't state where you are moving from, nor is your location listed on your profile. Just be prepared for time to adjust to the humidity. It can take it's toll on you, but after about a year, you'll acclimate and should have no problems. Other than the... More
