What is the best Western city in Washington State to move to?

We are thinking of moving to Washington state, if my husband can find a job (hes' an OTR truck driver). What are the better cities to live in? I prefer the western part of Washington. I lived on Ft. Lewis in 96' for a year, so I know that part of the state to be beautiful...any advice would be welcome... We'll be moving from Florida, where the cost of living is very expensive, so Im looking for something a little less expensive, real estate wise, & a place good & safe for kids.
