how can I get interview call after 2 weeks of resume submission?

Hi, I am an engineer.I applied to a job for which I m very much interested. When I submitted my resume I was told by manager that I will be called if it happens.Now its been two weeks I haven't heard anything.I want to reply to the manager reminding him/her that I am the candidate they are looking for.So what should I write to make an interview happen? Thanks in advance.

write a thank you note to him/her. Imade my husband do it and he got the job because of the sincere effort to not be forgotten about. Follow up letters / calls are totally fine. For samples, I'd check the big job boards (Monster, HotJobs, Careerbuilder) or, if you don't like those, check out the Microsoft website under "templates" (they are more like samples) Best of luck!

Unfortunately the hiring process is slow. I would send an email to the human resource manager to see if the job is still open or check the company website for the position.
