How do you get a job in a recruitment agency?

Whats the criteria? Can you train for this position? working as a recruitment consultant within the agency.

You can do the exams through REC which is the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (www.rec.uk.com). As far as getting a job is concerned, most recruitment agencies will train people up, especially the independent agencies, rather than the nationals... More

There's a qualification called certRP, don't know the details but it's becoming more noticeable for staff in recruitment offices.

Just walk in and register. Even chavs can get on an agencies books so unless theres something seriously wrong with you im sure u will fit their criteria!

There are many graduate schemes to get jobs as recruitment consultants, normally, you will need to go to assessment centres and then to a couple of interviews. Once you get placed in the agency they will train you themselves with there own training scheme. However, this might be different for small independent agencies... More

i wouldnt both - i did it for 9 months. drove me crazy. you spend all day pestering companies for business. and you are probably the 100th call they have received that week for the same thing.
