What do clinical laboratory scientists wear to work?

What do clinical laboratory scientists/medical technologists wear to work? (I know it may be a silly question, but a girl's gotta know!) Are you a c.l. scientist? Do you like your job? Any tips for a CLS major? Thanks!

Sometimes you can wear scrubs, or nifty uniforms; otherwise, comfortable clothes with a lab coat over that you leave at the job. Iwas a CLS for many years before I moved up & on and it was a decent job, lots of opportunity, good pay, multiple hour shifts, and was a good educational basis for my moving on.

Well, for the most part just simple outfits that you see on "what not to wear" will suffice. My mother works in a blood bank with 5 other women, and I wouldn't say any of them wear anything fancy.

I'm in the Pathology dept., but we're right next door. The MT's wear casual attire (no jeans) or they change into scrubs at work, then wear a lab coat over it. The lab coats are not to be worn outside the lab, ie to the cafeteria, restroom, etc.

In most laboratory setting business causal and scrubs are the norm. Tennis shoes is common due to extensive standing.
