what is the job title of someone who wants to work on cars, like work on the body, engine, tune the car, etc.?

i don't mean like a mechanic. i'm looking for something like is it an auomotive engineer or what? can you please list some job titles having to do with cars.

Automotive Technician or Service Technician if you want to physically work on them yourself. But there is always the Service Advisor or Service Consultant type positions as well within larger establishments if you don't wanna get your hands dirty!

An engineer is involved in the design stages, if you want to tune cars you will still need to be trained as a mechanic. Call it what you will, it still boils down to a torque monkey
