What will China be like in the next 20 to 40 years?
What do you see China looking like in the next 20 to 40 years? Will it have converted to a total free enterprise system? What about individual rights for its citizens? Will it be a democracy? Its population will likely be several billion within this time. But what other sorts of changes will be seen? And what about Chna's relationship with its neighbours? Will they be the cause or focus of any regional or global wars?

I think what we see in China right now is simply unsustainable... far too much construction and building up in the cities while electricity is still reaching the farmers... China's drive for the market economy has brought down the equality promised under communism... but China will not relax its grip on human rights... More
