How a passion of cars be converted into a decent career for an undergraduate teenager not studying further ?

He is not interested in studies. He is not keen to do auto mechanic job.

maybe he would like school better if he enjoyed what he was doing. If he is artistic, he could go in the auto design field. From designing on the computer, to maybe clay and foam model making, car painting... there is alot to do in the auto design field. and it pays very well too. there are lots of trades in this... More

Don't they have auto mechanics at his school? Today there are actually auto technology classes as automobiles have to have diagnostics on computers. My son is in an auto tech class and plans on working on cars while he gets a business degree so he can have his own mechanic repair shop and not be taken for a ride or... More

Have you told your son how much money auto mechanics can make because fixing cars is a specialty job? Is he artistic? Maybe he might want to look into auto painting--airbrushing etc... More

He can make a very comfortable living as an auto mechanic. For every 5 mechanics that retire, there is one coming up to take his place.
