What to do when your employer will not provide healthcare, although it was promised?

When i took my job as an administrative assistant, my employer stated very clearly that i would have health coverage, but not dental. In 3 weeks it will be a YEAR and he has still not provided me with health insurance. What do I do? I live and work in New York. I spoke with my employer about 7 months ago, and he asked me to be patient, that it will occur. But 7 months later nothing has happened. I originally got the job through a temp agency and so yes it is documented that i am suppose to have healthcare. Furthermore, it is a small business with only 5 other employees and they all have insurance, and all of the past employees who worked my job have had insurance as well!!! I think that because i was a college student when i started working there, they think that i can be ignored and devalued and not give me what i deserve!!!
