How can I get an office or retail job?

I am 21 years old and about to go into my senior year of college. I just got laid off of my job at a Noodles&Company after only one month of employment and, although I am willing to do any sort of work, I am really looking to use this opportunity to get a more fulfilling/respectable job. I have no office experience and have only handled money at a volunteer position. I'm a quick learner though and I know that I am capable of being a great employee. How can I worm my way into a desk or retail job?

Just go to bestbuy.com or any retail job like walmart and sign up for any retail jobs. They are really easy to get and the criteria is not high. They are more like personality tests. The more they like you the more likely they will hire you.

I would network and see it there's anyone- friend of a friend etc- who knows of an opening and can help you. It that's not an option, I would go to a temp agency. They'll have you take a typing test and computer proficiency test. Even if you have no experience, as long as you have good recommendations- even from... More

Scope out the listings on Craigslist.com and on monster.com. Go to Monsters job fairs if they are in your area. You have a higher rate of getting into contact with somebody then if you would try anywhere else. I once had someone call me back 4 hours after I met them at the fair.. Also you might want to try doing some... More
