do Environmentalist put insects and animals before people?

YOu got a plan to develpment an open space that has been neglected for years and no one ever cared. you want to put up some thing like an entertainment resort, so called enviromentalist try to block your project saying that is a protected area, while people walk there and do other stuff, even burn the grass there when its dry. . when this entertainment resort is created, people will get jobs, it adds value to the local society and economy. we are also partnering with charities who will get doonatios from us. wewill be collecting clothes and food for many charities.. i am talking about a place in africa where people are more hungry than animals. iam sure for the next turn years that land will be still be "protected" if we dont do any thing on it. i so hate them plsease help me analizet this.
