Whats your favourite quote from the Madeleine campaign so far?
There are so many to choose from. Heres a sample to help refresh your memory about the McCann family. I think at worst we were naïve. - Kate McCann "The analogy that I like to use is a bit like when we were students and you’d got to your overdraft limit and you’d gone beyond it and there was just nothing left in the tank." - Gerry McCann relating the toll the search has taken on him. "if all three of the children had been taken it could have been even worse" - Gerry seeing the bright side of the whole situation. "At least she would be recoverable" - John McCann using a nice turn of phrase to describe Madeleine as likely being damaged goods. "I looked up at one stage at the statue of Our Lady of Knock, which was positioned in front of us at the time, and for all the world it could have been my daughter’s face." - Sue Healy, Kate's mother describing Kate's remarkable resemblence to a significant religious figure. "you can’t believe some people can stoop so low. It was some dirty animal.” - Philomena McCann, not describing Gerry's treatment of his children but rather the person who stole his wallet. "We were surprised to learn that a 20 seat propeller plane was sent instead of the larger aircraft." - Gerry expressing disappointment at the small 20 seater aircraft that they were forced to travel in during their trip to Morocco. "Today has gone as well as we could possibly imagine." - Gerry describing the day he met the Pope, temporarily forgetting that not finding his daughter perhaps made the day not as good as he could have imagined.

Naive is the worst they have been? Oh good. I had thought that perhaps they had been negligent, but I must be wrong.

I found the quote about Kate looking just like the statue of the Lady of Knock the most disturbing.

'We will leave no stone unturned' Ah, yes of course........ Not really a favourite....but, definitely, the most infuriating. .

wow, so hard to choose. every time they speak something outrageous comes out. The whole thing about the wallet being stolen and returned with no mention of the pics of madeleine he so desparately wanted, the 20 seat airplane, that's what comes to mind. I couldn't believe it when he got his wallet back and he was all... More

I think the Gerry "at least we've got two children left" quote has to be the best! One quote will surpass them all - "You're nicked" from a Portuguese copper to Gerry McCann.
