Looking for a job like special forces but not connected to the military?

I have always been interested in special forces and all the cool missions they do. My dilemma is that I dont have this strong 100% feeling yet to commit to the military. I am wondering if there are jobs out there that include cool missions like covert operations and such that are not tied to the military. For example Counter terrorism teams maybe in the government, etc. If you know of any please post the job title and the agency, employer, etc. Thanks and hope you all can understand this question. I already know all about SWAT teams so please dont post them as one. I'm trying to stay more into the government area but if you know of any state/local jobs like I described thats good too. Thanks again. For all of you focused entirely on the word "cool" as I used to describe covert missions rather than the question itself you must first understand the meaning of cool and where im coming from. First of all "cool" is a slang word. Secondly it means excellent, superlative, great. And lastly when I use "cool" to describe missions I am speaking in terms of jumping out of planes, the specific equipment selected and used during the mission, and the covertness used in the mission. Sorry for your misunderstanding of the word "cool". It has different meanings to different people because it is a slang word. Remember that folks.

The only way to get the training that you are talking about is through the military..any civilian positions... More

There are a lot of jobs that look for a special forces background. But if you don't want to go that route, become a mercenary.

I suggest going to college, learning a new language (Arabic wouldnt hurt) Read online how to get a... More
